Heating pad from shirt collar

Here's another super simple project: making a heating pad/neck warmer from a recycled shirt collar.

All you need is the collar from a shirt... (here's what Aysha did with other parts of this shirt)

...and some flax seed.

Unpick a little corner of the collar...

...use a funnel to put flax seeds in...

...and stitch that opening closed.

My shirt collar had two separate compartments, so I did this unpicking, filling and stitching for each compartment.

Here's the end result:

It bends quite nicely and you can even button it up! (although that might be a bit weird...)

You can heat it up in the microwave (45 seconds worked well for me) or put it in the fridge or freezer and then use it as a hot/cold pack.

That's very clever.I couldn't come up with anything interesting with collars except for dog collars.
