Handkerchiefs from South Africa

My friend Nazima recently gave me several dozen handkerchiefs that her mother had brought over from South Africa over 30 years ago.  Most of them are still wrapped in brown paper packages, tied up with string (Sound of Music moment!).

They're very pretty little handkerchiefs but I don't think I'll need quite so many for personal use.  I'm going to see what else I can do with them.

Here's one idea that Aysha suggested:

Aside from the cute little dress itself, I loved how she just pinned it together on cardboard box like that (in about 2 minutes!).  For now, though, taking my current skill level into account, I'm going to be a little less ambitious with my aspirations.  I think I'll just start with some drawstring bags and see where it goes from there.
